Recently we held a parent information evening on Respect Me and how to help your child if they are experiencing bullying. We showed the video below and the parents in attendance requested we share it with you all as they felt it was useful in explaining what options are open to children and families experiencing bullying.
The Digital Leaders group is made up of a number of children from Primary 4-7 who all have an interest in everything digital!
So far this session the Digital Leaders have been learning how to write and insert images into Blog posts. The children will begin to take responsibility for adding posts to their own class blogs.
They have also been learning how to use BBC Microbits and will be planning and leading Microbit lessons in P3-6. Watch the space to find out how they get on.
respectme, Scotland’s anti-bullying service, was launched in March 2007. respectme’s vision is of a respecting, just, equal and inclusive Scotland in which all children and young people can live free from bullying and harassment and are encouraged to reach their full potential. In Dunlop Primary School, Microsoft Teams is used by all children in P4-7 to access a variety of tasks both in school and at home. Teachers use Teams to share class updates with their children as well as setting a variety of assignments. Before the children use Teams at home, time is given in class to teach the children how to use Teams.
We understand that Teams can be confusing when first introduced at home. Please find below a link to a PowerPoint with helpful hints to help you and your child navigate Teams.
