Homework – 19th October

Good morning – I hope you have all enjoyed the October holidays.

This week we have spelling, grammar, reading and math homework.

Spelling this week is a consolidation week – I have uploaded all of our weekly words onto our teams channel so please access these under the ‘file’ tab. I would like all children to practise their words to ensure they know all of their words so far. There will be no official spelling test this week as this is a chance for children to revise their previous learning.

Our maths homework this week is a worksheet to be complete in their homework jotters – if children complete their worksheet within half an hour the remainder of the time should be spent completing a Sumdog subtraction task.

For reading this week children have been issued new library books. Each book is of a different size – some children will read their full book, others should read 2/3 chapters of their book. Pick an event or character from your book and draw a picture of your visualisation.

Grammar – write three sentences about your holidays or something you are looking forward to doing over the next couple of weeks. In each sentence underline the nouns.

Challenge: can you specify if your noun in a common noun or a proper noun?

Reminder: children have been issued homework jotters therefore their maths and spelling should be complete in their jotters.

Have a lovely week!!
