Chance to win a Summer Hamper

With Summer approaching, the staff have organised and collected items to make up two Summer Hampers.

For a chance to win one of the hampers, you can purchase tickets via Parentpay. The tickets are £1 each, with the maximum purchase of £10.00.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday 3rd June till Tuesday 16th June.

The winners will be drawn at the Prizegiving on Wednesday 17th June. Thank you

 

Sports Day Cancelled

Unfortunately we have to cancel Sports Day tomorrow (Friday 5th June).

The weather has beaten us this week! The grass is too wet and the forcast for the next 24 hours is more rain.

We have rescheduled Sports Day for Thursday 18th June at 10.30am @ Riverside Park, Catrine.

Fingers crossed the weather will be warmer and sunnier.

After School Club – Dance

We are offering an after school club to P4 – P7s.

These dance lessons are a great chance to learn some new dance steps with an experienced coach. If your child is interested please sign them up via the link.

There are only 15 spaces. The after school club will run for 3 weeks, on the following dates 9th, 16th & 23rd June from 3.00pm – 4.00pm.

Bike Brilliance!

Some of our P5 pupils have been working with Barry Holmes, our Vibrant Communities Coordinator, to learn about bike safety and improve their cycling skills.

After completing the 3 sessions of the training course, they were awarded with a certificate to show that they are

BRILLIANT BIKERS!

Well done to Ayla, Layla, Ava, Carter, Callum, Miley and Calli.

 

Kilmarnock Rugby Club

The rugby camp will be open to all school pupils from P1-S2 (starting
August 2026), and will run from Monday 20th July – Friday 24th July
10am-3pm at the rugby club. We would love to see as many people out
enjoying the sun (hopefully) and getting to play some rugby. No previous
experience is required!

SUMMER RECREATIONAL CAMPS 2026

Hi everyone,

Here is our summer programme information for p1+ (new P2’s) school aged children.

We have been lucky enough to receive funding from East Ayrshire and are able to provide the sessions at a discounted price of £22.50 per day/£80 per week for everybody.

We may be able to offer further subsidised places. Please get in touch if you would like to be considered.

Week 1: Mon 20th-Thu 27th July (10-3pm)

Places usually go quickly so please book in advance to avoid any disappointment. We were fully booked last year and unfortunately had to turn people away last year.

Sports Day

Next Friday, 5th June, will be our annual Sports Day.

Just a reminder that pupils are encouraged to wear a top/t-shirt representing their House.

If your child is unsure of their house colour, please tell them to ask in school.

All pupils will be given a bottle of water at the park. Thanks to Catrine Amateurs for donating the water.

P7 – RBA Transition Days

P7 – RBA Transition Days – Wednesday 27th May & Thursday 28th May

Pupils need to be at the school for 8.35am for registration.

The bus will be leaving for the RBA at 8.45am and will return back to Catrine for 3.00pm.

Pupils are required to wear school uniform on both of these days.

If you have advised us that your child is a packed lunch, please remember to send this with them.

NO PUPILS WILL BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE RBA FOR LUNCH.

 

Run, Jump and Throw @ Barony Sports Village

On Monday 25th May, we will be starting Run, Jump and Throw at BSV at the track.

4pm – 4:45pm – P1-P3

5pm – 5:45pm – P4-P7

These classes for 3 weeks will be free.

It should be bookable online and on the app, or can sign up at the venue.

There is a 24 limit capacity set to each session.

P7 – RBA Parent and Carer Transition Evening

For Parents/Carers attending the P7 to RBA Parent and Carer Transition Evening, please read the message from the RBA.

Due to the high volume of people attending, parking will be strictly at the Car Park on Ayr Road. Parents/Carers & Pupils should then walk across the bridge and enter the school at Main Reception where they will be asked to provide their tickets for entry. There will be no access to park in any other car parks and permission to park at the front of the building will only be given to parents/carers if they have a valid blue badge.
