Summer Trip to Heads of Ayr Farm Park – Wednesday 24th June
Can pupils please be at the school for 8.50am, to allow for registration. The bus will be leaving Catrine at 9.10am.
All pupils to bring along a packed lunch ( unless ordered via Mrs Robertson) and a drink or two ( no fizzy drinks).
The packed lunch and water bottles can be brought in a backpack for easy carrying.
The weather forecast is warm sunny weather. Please ensure your child has suncream applied, maybe even a sun hat or sunglasses.
Pupils to weather school uniform.
Can we please be mindful of cars parking on James Taylor Avenue, as the buses will arrive here at 9.00am.
NO MONEY IS REQUIRED.
All pupils will return into the school after the trip.
Looking forward to another fabulous whole school trip.

Our summer club at the Boswell Centre, Well Road, Auchinleck will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for the first six weeks of the school holidays and the Tuesday and Thursday of the final week. Registration starts at 9.45am each morning and children should be picked up by a responsible adult at 12.30pm.

Three of our pupils, who are members of Kirsty Graham House of Dance, took part in a dancing competition at the weekend.
Well done to Leah P3, Gracie P3 & Esther P6, who all won an award.

Well done to the pupils that gathered sponsor money for the Great Athlete event. The school will receive a portion of the money raised and new sports equipment will be purchased for the school.

Great to see other World Cup Countries being represented today at Catrine PS.
The most popular team was, of course, Scotland!
We are going to continue World Cup Friday until the end of term.
This is optional, pupils can attend dressed down.

Our Family Fun/Den Building day is tomorrow, Thursday 11th June.
The weather forecast is for rain, so it has been decided to go with plan B.
Our activities will be in the school.
You can still bring along den building items, and our Big Picnic will still go ahead. Please bring along a picnic blanket to sit on.
We hope you can still join us for another fantastic family event.

Applications will open on Tuesday 16 June for the early years footwear and clothing grant for academic year 2026/27 for parents/guardians of children due to access a place from the start of the new term in August 2026 (children whose date of birth is between 1 March 2022 and 31 August 2023 and any children accessing an additional year of early learning and childcare if they meet the eligibility criteria).
Applications will remain open until 4pm on Friday 10 July. Anyone missing the deadline will not be able to apply until the applications re-open in January 2027.
Payment of the grant will be made on 27 July 2026.
With us coming to the end of the 2025 / 2026 session, we are making sure our records are up to date.
We are asking parents / carers to notify the school of any changes to the following personal details prior to the end of June:

What a fantastic day our wonderful P7s had.
Adventure golf, ten pin bowling, McDonald’s, Escape Rooms and fun in the Arcade – all packed into our day.
Today was made possible due to their hard work and determination during our enterprise activities this year – well done and thank you to everyone that contributed to their enterprises.
