Catrine ECC Halloween Trail

Parent Council Disco
The Parent Council Disco will take place on Wednesday 21st October from 6pm – 7.30pm.
This is a Halloween Disco, dressing up is optional.

We recently were successful in obtaining a grant from Tesco for the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme.
Each family will receive a packet of apples and satsumas home today or tomorrow.
Thank you Tesco Auchinleck for helping to supply the fruit.
Family Wellbeing Event
Free community event at Cumnock Town Hall on Tuesday 13th October. Everyone welcome.
Harvest Food Collection
A massive thank you to everyone who handed in a tin or packet of dry food for the Catrine 12 o’clock Lunch Club, who will distribute the items amongst Catrine residents. Thank you everyone.
Sticky Fingers October Club
STICKY FINGERS OCTOBER CLUB
Our Sticky Fingers Children’s October Club at the Boswell Centre, Well Road, Auchinleck will run on Tuesday 13th, Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th October.
As usual, registration will start at 9.45am each morning, with activities commencing at 10am. However, our finishing time will now be 12.45pm. All children should be picked up by a responsible adult at 12.45pm each day, unless other arrangements have been discussed with a member of staff.
On arrival, please park in either the car park at the front of the Boswell Centre or the car park at the Indoor Bowling Club across the road. Please accompany your child into the foyer of the centre where registration will take place and children will be issued with their name badges.
Attendees will enjoy a range of arts and crafts, lots of sports and games, biscuit decorating, face painting, and visits from Kirstie from Super Silly Scientists Scotland, Olivia from CAMPS as well as a session of football skills with Jamie from Cumnock Juniors Community Enterprise and children will also enjoy a Hotdog Feast!
We also have been given the opportunity to run a Parents’ Workshop on ‘Dealing with the Cost of Living Crisis’ on Wednesday 14th October. These workshops will run at 10am and 12noon and aim to provide ways families might cope with ever-increasing costs. Please indicate which of the two workshops you would like to attend.
If your child is in Primary 7 or above, and would like to be one of our Pupil Helpers at the club, please add this information to question 12.

Harvest Hush In
All our pupils will take part in our sponsored Hush In on Wednesday 7th October.
P1, P2 & P3 pupils will aim for 30 minutes of silence, with P4 to P7 pupils trying to be quiet for 45minutes!!
All sponsorship money can be handed into school by Wednesday 7th October or pay via parentpay.

Wednesday 7th is also the last day to hand in a tin/packet of non perishable food for our collection to be donated to the Catrine 12o’clock Lunch Club. This will be distributed to the elderly in Catrine. Thank you

Date for your diary, on Thursday 29th October at 3.00pm in the school, we have an information session about the trip.

A Parent Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday 6th October at Catrine Games Hall from 6.00pm – 7.00pm.
