Catrine PS and ECC – Vision, Values and Aims
We regularly highlight our Vision, Values and Aims with our pupils in both our school and ECC through a variety of activities, and our pupils have a good understanding of what they mean and how we apply them at Catrine PS and ECC. Through monthly GLOW questionnaires, we ask parents/carers for their opinions and comments about our school and ECC, and their responses are always very much appreciated. As a staff, we annually review our Vision, Values and Aims and have collaborated to produce a poster detailing them, which will be a reference point for future discussions with our pupils, and for our priorities moving forward. Our Vision, Values and Aims poster highlight our priorities and give examples of how we put them into action in our establishments.
I’m proud to present you with our new Vision, Values and Aims poster which will be proudly displayed in both our school and ECC.

Fruit kebabs with Healthy Hannah
At snack time we explored a range of different fruits to make our own fruit kebabs, we discussed what foods are healthy for us to eat and what our favourites are. Everyone agreed that the fruit kebabs were delicious.
A special visitor in the ECC today
We had a visit from Howard today, a ranger from Dean Castle and Country Park, who was awarding us with our very own apple tree. This was our treat for winning the competition last year with our fantastic creation Alaalaenaeeee. We even got to make our very own apple juice.
Last day before the holidays
We had so much fun at the Games Hall today too, playing on the bouncy castle and enjoying parachute games. Merry Christmas everyone see you in the New Year.

Gruffalo Room :- Creating stories
Within the Gruffalo Room the children have been creating stories with the use of prompts e.g. pictures of doors, “Who could live in a house with a door like this?” The children would then use their imaginations to create their own short story. They were also able to create another story on the magnetic board with the use of different characters.
Frosty Mornings
Now that frost and icy weather has arrived, for your safety please walk on the areas that Janet has gritted. Please make sure that children do not move the cones. Thank You!
