The pupils have been involved in a variety of enterprising homework challenges and now we would like to try a whole school challenge.
The mission should you wish to accept it is to use your wooden spoon in the most creative and interesting way you can think of to make a new character/object.
The staff have already undertaken this challenge to offer the pupils some guidance, advice and ideas from their first hand experiences, these are on display outside the Office.
You can use any materials to decorate and create. The whole family can get involved and help. Have fun!
Skills involved in this challenge:
- Creativity and innovation
- Using tools, equipment and materials.
Experiences and Outcomes from A Curriculum for Excellence:
- EXA 1-02a, 2-02a
I have the opportunity to choose and explore a range of media and technologies to create images and objects, discovering their effects and suitability/comparing and combining them for specific tasks.
- TCH 1-11a, 2-11a
Through discovery and imagination, I can develop and use problem solving strategies to meet design challenges with a food or textile focus.
- TCH1-11b, 2-11b
Having evaluated my work, I can adapt and improve, where appropriate, through trial and error or by using feedback.
We have allocated two weeks to this challenge and hope that we will have a huge variety of spoons to display throughout the school at our Spring Fayre event this term.
