Ayrshire Schools Cross Country

One of our first events as part of the School Sports Calendar was the Ayrshire Schools Cross Country fun run, although judging by the faces at the finish line it wasn’t much fun!

The pupils thought they were Mo Farrah but the rain and the mud soon took its toll and they looked exhausted but very impressed with themselves at the end.

Ryan enjoys his snack.                                              Rachel was washed out but not out!

John and Ross knackered at the end.                       Jordan in need of  a seat!

They certainly didn’t look as if they had just run over a mile.

Apart from the soggy clothes nothing seemed to dampen the boys spirits.

Nursery playtime

The children enjoyed their first playtime in Kirkstyle. Our positive play leaders in Primary 6 came out for an extra play session to encourage our new starts to explore the space outside.

Evie & Caleb tried bats and balls

When do we learn our scooter skills?

Up, up and away!

Ciaran fancied a game of rounders

I'm listening for the colour red!

Good slap break Aaron.
Thanks to funding secured by the school to support our Games Legacy for the future during the Olympic and Commonwealth games run up and events Primary 5 and Primary 5/6 pupils have already started their Judo P.E. sessions. These are being led by trainers from Cluarankwai Judo Club. The club are also encouraging the pupils to attend the after school class and we are thrilled to say the class is full and some of the pupils are keen to join the trainers at the clubs own training sessions in the future.

Keep moving - looking good Callum.
