  • P1 Police Visit

    Today we had a special surprise with a visit from some Police Officers. We got to learn about the uniform and what a police officer has to carry with them. We got some colouring in to complete. We then headed outside to meet 2 of the Police Horses. They showed us some of their tricks. We then got to have a shot in a real Police car!

  • Special visitors

    Today the police came to visit us with their horses. The children had to help train the horses so they were prepared for their jobs. We then got to pet the horses at the end before heading back to class.

  • Baarmy Bethlehem 🐑

    All children were given their character today and those who wished speaking parts were given scripts. If you could read over lines with your child it would be much appreciated. We will be trying on costumes in school next week, the school have plenty of costumes but we ask that animals wear black trousers/leggings and a black long sleeved top if possible and angels/stars wear white. All other characters can wear uniform under costumes or T-shirts/leggings/joggers if they find it more comfortable. We will let you know the date for our dress rehearsal soon.

  • November Snapshot

    We have had a very busy few weeks in Primary 6! Last Monday, the whole school came together for our Remembrance Assembly, which was led by our Primary 7s. In Numeracy, we have been looking at using Mental Strategies to help solve Subtraction calculations.  We have been looking at changing calculations by ‘keeping a constant difference’ in order to make it easier to calculate the answers and also using our knowledge of place value to subtract multiples of 10, 100 and 1000.     Welcome to a snapshot of our learning in November! We hope you enjoy looking at some of the work in our Snapshot Jotters.  Our blog shows a snapshot of some of the other learning experiences in Primary 7. Remembrance Assembly To start off our Snapshot Learning week, Primary 7 pupils were responsible for planning, presenting and leading the whole school Remembrance assembly.   • Snapshot Week 18th-22nd November 2024

    What a busy week we have had! In numeracy this week we have been working on our addition and subtraction strategies. We have been making connections between what we already know and using this to extend our knowledge of number bonds to 10 and 100. We have also been looking at the patterns made when we double numbers. During this term we have been learning how to identify the features of information reports and we have learned that information reports can come in a variety of formats. In the most recent update to Glow blogs we updated the version of Jetpack that we use. Jetpack no longer supports Additional CSS. Glow Blogs October 2024 Update

Glow Blogs has just had a fairly large update. Glow Blogs is now using wordPress 6.6.2. This bring quite a lot of new features, especially to the Block & Site Editor. Quite a few plugins have been updated too.

H5P Issue Some content types cannot be installed

An issue with H5P content types has arisen. If you try to install some content types you will get an error. The problem seems to be because the H5P API has been updated but the version used by theWordPress plugin does not now match it.
