S1 Pathways Evening
Data Handling
We have began data handling in maths. This week we conducted surveys in class asking each other our favourite things and using tally marks to keep count. We then presented the data we had collected in bar charts.I ‘sense’ a clever wee bunch of Primary 2s
P2S have had a great time exploring their 5 senses. They tasted, smelled and touched various foods and objects. There was a lot of smiles and some wee ‘sour’ faces too 🤣. They were really blown away when they realised their senses weren’t always accurate! Finally, they wrote INCREDIBLE recounts about what that had learned, and what they did. I n d o o r s – This week the children have been exploring People Who Help Us, exploring the different job roles and how their role might help us. They have enjoyed using their imaginative skills in the role play area, taking on the role of e.g. a doctor, police officer, fire fighter, applying their real life experiences to their imaginative play. All children have knowledge of People Who Help Us however, we explored the children’s learning in more depth with a focus on doctors and hospitals. P1 had a lovely first week in February with lots of excitement on our trip and as usual, lots of new learning! This week we focussed on the ‘h’ and ‘w’ sounds. We practised forming the letters and word building. We enjoyed creating headbands, hand hedgehogs, building hospitals, drawing Mrs Watt, making wands and enjoyed some Where’s Wally books! Glow Blogs has been updated to WordPress 6.8.2. This update is mostly a behind the scenes one, you might not notice much difference.Fixed: PDF problem
An issue with pdf uploaded to Glow Blogs has recently developed. Our developers are looking at the issue to create a fix. The issue is that pdfs uploaded to Glow Blogs are ‘truncated’ to one page. We hope this is fixed soon. There are a few workarounds you can use in the meantime.
