🧭 P5–7 Orienteering with Active Schools 🧭
Our P5–7 pupils recently took part in a short block of orienteering sessions with Alison Murray from Active Schools, and it was a great experience for everyone involved!
The sessions took place in the Ryan Centre hall, where pupils were introduced to the key skills of orienteering, including map reading, following directions, teamwork and problem-solving.
These skills were developed through a range of fun, active games and fitness-based activities, keeping everyone engaged and moving. 🏃♂️
Pupils worked together to navigate challenges, build their confidence in using maps and develop their awareness of space and direction. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, teamwork and determination across the group.
The sessions provided a great opportunity for pupils to learn new skills while staying active in a new environment. A big thank you to Alison Murray for delivering such fun and engaging sessions! 🌟
Well done to all our P5–7 pupils for their fantastic effort throughout – great work everyone! 👏
