🗣️ Pupil Council Meeting – 12th September 2025 🗣️
Last week our Pupil Council met for their first Term 1 meeting of the year. This year’s council members are Myra, Ross, Robin, Ebony, Aria-Lydia, Lucas, Rebecca and Jensen, with Ava W as our Rights Respecting Schools Co-ordinator.
The meeting focused on two main areas:
📋 Pupil Consultation Feedback
Over the last few weeks our council gathered views from every class on what’s going well in school and any ideas for improvement. At the meeting, members discussed themes such as healthy eating, playground safety, outdoor learning and ways to make our school even more inclusive. Actions have been set for pupils and staff to work on together.
⭐ Rights Respecting Schools
We discussed any updates on our Rights Respecting Schools work. The council reviewed September’s Right of the Month (Article 26 – the right to social and economic help) and discussed how to keep pupils’ rights and voices at the centre of school life. We also talked about steps towards achieving our RRSA Gold Award later this year.
It was a lively and positive meeting, with lots of pupil voice and ideas for the future. Thank you to our new council members for stepping into their roles with enthusiasm and responsibility.
