π Our Exciting Trip to Kirkcudbright Dark Space Planetarium! π
On Tuesday, our P1β4 pupils had a fantastic adventure to Kirkcudbrightβs Dark Space Planetarium! From the moment we arrived, the children were buzzing with excitement β and the experience didnβt disappoint. The Planetarium offered a brilliant mix of interactive exhibits, hands-on learning, and engaging activities that truly brought the wonders of space to life.
Pupils explored the solar system, discovered how rockets launch, and even got to experience virtual reality missions β sparking lots of curiosity and excellent questions. It was wonderful to see them so engaged and eager to learn through play and exploration. Their communication, teamwork, and creative thinking skills were in full flow as they moved through the different zones and exhibits.
Afterwards, we headed to the park for some lunch in the sunshine followed by lots of energetic play. It was a lovely opportunity for the children to relax and enjoy each otherβs company in a different environment. They looked out for one another, took turns on equipment, and encouraged each other as they climbed, swung, and explored β all part of developing their social skills and wellbeing.
