P1-4 Outdoor Owl Maths Adventure
Today, St Joseph’s P1-4 pupils enjoyed a fantastic outdoor learning session, braving a little rain to have fun exploring maths in nature! Using sticks, stones, shells, and measuring tools, we worked on a variety of mathematical skills while making the most of the fresh air.
The pupils got creative building snakes, owls, and other animals from natural materials. They measured their creations with rulers and tape measures, practicing their understanding of different units of measurement.
We also explored shapes in nature, spotting triangles, circles, and other forms all around us. The children worked together to identify patterns and thought about how maths can be found everywhere, even in the great outdoors!
It was wonderful to have parents join us for the session. Your support and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable! A little rain couldn’t stop us from learning and having fun together.
Well done to everyone in P1-4 for your brilliant teamwork and energy, what an amazing morning of outdoor learning!
