Learning Outdoors

Today the whole school got involved with some Outdoor Learning, and what a lovely day we had for it as well!

Jo, from the Rhins and Luce Red Squirrel Network, came to work with the children on some improvements for our outdoor area. Firstly P5-7 learned how to construct a teepee for growing beans and flowers on. The children got stuck in, finding sticks and then cutting off extra branches and finally tying the sticks together to form a teepee.

After break, P5-7 worked hard to clean up our playground. Some children picked up litter using our litter pickers, others weeded the plant pots or round the sides of the buildings and another group began weeding our garden area. They were reluctant to come back inside!

Well done to everyone for their hard work and thank you to Jo for coming to visit our school.
