The whole school took part in a fantastically-planned World Book Day! Our morning began with a relaxed paired reading session where the older class paired up with the younger class and read from each others favourite books. It is Fairtrade Fortnight and P5-7 learned first hand how world trade works and how it is definitely not always fair! Each group were given a country: USA, Ireland, India, Brazil, Kenya and Tanzania. The P1-5 were very excited about their trip to Dumfries House. We went to the Valentin’s Education Farm where the children took part in different workshops through out the day. The Enterprise Group are very busy preparing for World Book Day on the 7th of March.
