WE WON GOLD !!!!
We have recently achieved our GOLD Sportscotland School Sport Award 2024!
The Gold School Sport Award is recognition of our school’s achievements in putting sport at the heart of our school’s planning, practice and ethos.
The Gold Award also highlights that our school has shown excellent practice across the core areas of the Award and demonstrated an on-going commitment to increase young people’s opportunities and engagement in physical education, school sport and leadership and provide clear pathways to life-long participation in sport.
We are delighted and proud to have won this award and will continue to promote taking part in different sports, being active and being healthy – in our school and across our partnership.

2.5.24 – We went to Lochrutton Primary to take part in a football tournament called The Barbour Cup. We took an older and younger team and added up the goals scored with both teams together and we won! Well done to everyone involved!
As a result of all the work over the past 2-3 years, our wee school has managed to achieve our 7th Green Flag Award. On top of this we have been recognised for our efforts to protect our environment, with a commendation for excellent work on Learning for Sustainability. We congratulate ourselves – not only our current crop of staff and pupils, but all staff and pupils over the last 2-3 years that have contributed’ to achieving this amazing award! Well done!
