On Wednesday it was our Halloween party at Lochrutton! First thing we did was a parade around the room where we showed everyone our costumes. We played ‘scary statues’, ‘spooky corners’, ‘chilly musical chairs’ and then we had a snack! We then played pass the pumpkin. The party was a lot of fun! – Asa
We then did ‘apple dooking’ and ‘witches wart’ where we were blind folded and had to find her nose and put a bit of blue tac on it. At the end of the party we got to take a packet of Haribo’s home. My favourite game was scary statues! – Bobby
We had a partnership day about Charlotte’s Web because we have been reading the book in class. We did 4 activities – making spider parachutes, making chocolate apples and making friendship bracelets with a kind word in it. We also created music for certain parts of the story. After lunch we watched the movie and then we had 2 visitors in our playground – real pigs! The pigs felt like a very dusty and dry rug that was made out of straw! It was so so so so so so much fun! – Jackson & Bessie
2023-24
We took part in the second part of sports day. We started with the potted sports, which were an obstacle course, netball shoot, space hoppers, hurdles and slalom runs. We then did our running races, which were the sprint, egg and spoon, sack race and the bean bag race. We also did a preschool race and a parent race. The winning houses were both Scaur and Braco. Jackson also won the Partnership Sports Person Award for super team work, trying his best and being supportive of his peers across both sports afternoons. Both of our favourite part was the space hopper race. – Roddy & Bobby
We took part in our first afternoon of ‘sports day’ here. We did some potted sports to start then did some races. We ran a water race, a long distance and a house relay. The parents and pre schoolers also did a race. We are looking forward to next week!

25.1.24 – Robert Burns Partnership Day
We went to Lochrutton for the day to celebrate Robert Burns. We made tartan dinner mats, listened to some music and sang some songs. We recited our Scots poems, ate some haggis for lunch and had a ceilidh to finish off.
