– what have we been up to?

Eggscellent Last Day of Term

This morning p1-4 joined forces with the Nursery boys and girls for our annual  Easter egg hunt. Before heading outside, we read the story ‘We’re Going on an Egg Hunt’ while the Easter bunny frantically darted around the playground planting over 100 gold, pink and blue eggs! We had good fun hunting high and low for these very well hidden eggs (we are convinced the birds also joined the event with plenty of wrappers being left behind – or very hungry chocolate loving children!) 🐰🥚🍫
In the afternoon it was time for another Easter egg hunt – this time organised by the house captains, Arran and Allyssa. After lunch time the hunt began again, this time hunting for a mixture of creme eggs and purple eggs. Everyone managed to find at least 1 egg with some even finding 3 before the rain came!🥚🍫
As well as hunting for eggs, the house captains also organised an egg decorating contest and the entries for this were FANTASTIC! We had a sola system complete with lights (Andrew P1), 4 little penguins at the South Pole (Tom, P1), an Olympic swimming competition (Ross, P6) and an ice cream parlour with various flavours (Isla, P1). Our house captains had a tough job choosing winners but they finally reached a decision:
P1-4 winners:
1st – Andrew’s solar system
2nd – Aila’s lambs
3rd – Frankie’s 5 nights at Freddies

P5-7 winners:
1st – Joey’s Ninjas
2nd – Ross’ Olympic swimming eggs
3rd – Paige’s very hungry caterpillars
