Kirkcolm Primary School

– what have we been up to?

Harvest Church Visit

This morning the boys and girls headed up to the Kirkcolm church for their annual Harvest festival. Reverend Marlene spoke about the history of Harvest and how the celebration originated in 1845 and explained the meaning behind it and the importance of sharing with those less fortunate.
Intertwined in the service the boys and girls took to the floor to perform their Harvest songs they have been working hard to learn over the past few weeks.ย “Thank you for Almost Everything” was sang beautifully by Mrs Morrisons class and the little class gave a very cute rendition of “Big Red Combine Harvester” before everyone came together to sing “5 a day” ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿšœ
A huge thank you to the parents who came along to support us on this wet and wild morning ๐Ÿงก
