Safer Internet Day
Tuesday 11th February was Safer Internet Day.
The Young Digital Leaders visited every class in the school to share ways in which children can be safer when using the internet.
With the infant classes they discussed the way they can feel when using the internet as well as trusted adults they can speak to.
With the upper classes they investigated signs to look for to decide if someone is trying to scam us as well as ways people can ‘phish’ for your private and personal information.
The Young Digital Leaders loved being teachers for the day!

On Thursday 13th February Briony from Sustrans came to talk to us about air pollution. She shared information about the effect cars and lorries can have on our environment. We also discussed what we could do to help.
Afterwards we went outside to look for lichen in the playground. She taught us about the different types of lichen and what that can tell us about the air quality where they are found.

Gymnastics in Primary 6
Primary 6 have been creating gymnastic routines in PE with Mr Sharp. We have been creating movements that flow from one movement to another.

Soundtrap
Every second Tuesday we make music on Soundtrap with John and Roo. We have lots of fun developing our creativity skills. We are able to make music in lots of different styles. We can express ourselves through the different styles which we create. We have to think about the number of beats and bars in our tracks as well as the different musical instruments.
We have developed our communicating and collaborating skills as well as our creativity skills.
