“It was international STEM day so we did lots of building” – Robson (STEM means Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)
“We can build whatever we want” – Elsie
(This was a child-led activity, We provided the resources and watched the children display creativity, imagination, initiative and collaboration skills. Look at what they made!)

P1/2 have been learning about pattern. We went outdoors to see if we could make patterns with objects we found outdoors…

Sometimes Primary 7 pupils help us with our learning. This week they were helping us with our new topic of materials and building, fine motor skills of cutting, using the ipad to access purple mash, and using directional language to programme the code and go mice…

We have been learning about animals .
We wanted to make octopus, Mrs. Woods showed us how to make an octopus with Strawbees and paper. We used the kidizoom camera to record our work.

” The Strawbees are cool. I think I could make lots of things with them.” – Finn

We had great fun on scooters this week.

Primary 1 and Primary 1/2 went for a walk round our local community to look at the houses that had been decorated for the Halloween competition taking part in Heathhall community.
We took clipboards and pencils so we could use our data handling skills to collect information on the decorations we could see. We used tally marks to count how many Halloween items we saw on our walk.

” I used tally marks to count and remembered to put the squint line on to make a bundle of 5″ – Thora








We have fun in nursery wearing PJ’s and bright colours for Children in Need Day.
Then we helped to count all the money (donations) from nursery children. We raised over £60!!!
