Making a difference!

There is a growing body of evidence to suggest that learning is improved if we understand more about how we learn. As parents,  carers and teachers, we can really help our young people by encouraging a Growth Mindset. There is a link below which gives some ideas about this concept.

Shining light on sport

sunrise

As the sun rises this morning over Loch Ken we can reflect on the sporting activities of Dalry pupils over the last seven days.

On Saturday  S3 pupils competed at the Table Tennis club in Dumfries and  three of them will be going on to the National competition in Edinburgh on 18th February. Well done!

On the same day pupils from S1 and S4 competed in a regional badminton event at Lockerbie Academy. There were some good games and an S1 pupil playing up an age group to ensure an S4 was able to have a doubles game, illustrated great resilience and team spirit.

Similar resilience and team spirit was demonstrated by our netballers who travelled to Newton Stewart last night to play league matches against two Douglas Ewart teams, in back to back matches.

The minibus choir is coming on well!
