The S3 geographers have been out in the good weather applying their knowledge of rivers. Sediment data was gathered to be processed back in class. Fieldwork and data processing skills are an important part of the National 5 course that some of S3 will be starting in June.
Dalry S1 pupils visited New Galloway Town Hall on Friday to learn more about the planned changes to the transmission of electricity through the area. SP Energy staff were generous with their time and the range of jobs involved in the project was outlined by professionals. We have lots of information that can be worked on back in school and young people are now better able to take part in informed debate.
