The school is very excited to take part in a nation wide growing project over the next few months. The are 500 schools taking part, of which 100 have been selected to receive specialist growing equipment to take part in a national collective experiment.
We are very excited to be part of this project and the primary transition class will also be invited to take part.
The project has also given both primary and secondary schools a large amount of seed potatoes and we are keen for the children to take some home and grow them in their gardens or containers. We only ask that they share their growing journey by taking pictures of their potatoes at each stage through to harvest.
In the autumn, we intend to celebrate our achievements with a harvest assembly where the pupils can share their growing successes.
