“On 1st December S3 went to Castle Douglas High School to “Do the Right Thing” – a PSE workshop filled the day to make sure we were all caught up, and we got to meet new people. The workshops consisted of two plays, “A Night to Remember” and “It’s in his Kiss”.
All through the day there were different workshops to do with PSE including alcohol awareness, sexual health, hate speech, drugs, domestic abuse and mental health. These workshops were full of new and interesting things for the S3s and the day was kept fun and entertaining.
I think that the whole experience was worthwhile because it meant that the S3s had a day out to learn and meet new people and engage in different ways of learning, especially since most of the lessons’ teachers were NHS workers and police who knew what they were doing. The children really enjoyed it, thank you so much for organising this day out for us!”
