This term has been a busy one for the enthusiastic Gardening Club gardeners. They have been harvesting a HUGE crop of vegetables (that horse manure certainly did its job!) and tidying up the garden and front of the playground. The pots have been planted with spring bulbs of daffies, tulips and snowdrops and the welly boots emptied ready for rejuvenating next spring. There were lots of very positive comments about how beautiful the front of the playground has been looking and we need to keep this up next year for sure!
Yesterday the group harvested some local fruit trees for apples and damsons ready to make jam. This will be handed out to the elderly members of our community during our Harvest Festival and will also be sold to raise much needed funds for the Gardening Club.
Busy, busy bees!
