Delightful (and not so delightful) characters celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th Birthday!

The annual Roald Dahl day was once again celebrated enthusiastically in school, last Tuesday. Children, in all classes, came to school dressed as their favourite character or wearing yellow (Roald’s favourite colour).

Throughout the day, the children toot part in a number activities, including searching for unusual and frankly revolting items in Mrs Twit’s ‘worm’ spaghetti and working outside, hunting for items likely to be found in Mr Twit’s beard!

In the afternoon, the whole school assembled to watch a live show to celebrate Roald Dahl’s birthday, broadcast from the theatre, in London, where Matilda is currently being performed. The children learned more about Dahl’s writing craft and the characters he created.
