Carsphairn Primary goes to Moat Brae

On November 17, 2016, we went to Moat Brae to launch us on our new class reader: Peter Pan!  We had a look at the plaque in front of Dumfries Academy because J .M. Barrie was a student there. After that we went inside the house where J.M. Barrie got his inspiration for Peter Pan, it was amazing. I have never seen what it was that inspired an author. I loved it!

RSNO come for a final MAGIC visit to Carsphairn.

We had our third and final visit from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra today, as a part of the Pitch, Pulse and Magic Program. Today’s session was the magic, and we were visited by Musicians playing the Piano and the flute.  We learned that the Magic in music, is that music can change how we are feeling, and that is why it is so common to have in movies. Thank you for visiting our wee school!
