The Nursery Treehouse

A few photos of our Nursery Treehouse development showing the children taking turns, working together, listening, being patient, and working hard! It’s coming together now and plans are being put in place by the children for the next phase – deciding the height, shape and design. Well done everyone and especially Clare who is the inspiration and project manager!  😊

Nursery’s potato harvest

The children were learning about planting and growing this week when they harvested their  excellent crop of potatoes. They worked together to find the ‘treasure’ and the sense of wonder and amazement at discovering the potatoes was wonderful. We then divided them up to take home for tea! Well done everyone 😊

Nursery Sports Day

The sun shone for us today at our Nursery Sports Day – we took part in the egg and spoon race, relays, running races, welly throwing and golf ball tag and the children decided the adults should have a race too!

A huge well done to all our fantastic children – a super morning!

Book Bug week in Nursery with a watery theme💧💦

We practised Humpty Dumpty, created our own Book Bugs, investigated forces using the medium of water, made our own boats to sail down our tubing and guttering, made an obstacle course and challenged ourselves to carry a bucket of water while balancing and of course read lots of stories – please visit the Dumfries and Galloway Library Facebook page to see our contributions 😊

Nursery Life

Here’s a little taste of nursery life over the last 5 weeks – such a lot has been happening and what a lot of skills we’ve been developing – painting, exploring, climbing, acting, climbing, reading, planting, writing, counting, sharing, investigating, problem solving, experimenting, getting out and about in the community – but most of all just enjoying being back together and having fun!

Happy Easter everyone  🙂
