Today all the children have been busy celebrating St Andrew’s Day. There has been dancing, baking, lots of art work and even a ‘haggis drive’. Here are some photos which give a snapshot of the activities from around our school!

P6 Upcycling Challenge
Today the class were challenged to reuse and upcycle newspaper to create new fashion designs. Teamwork, creativity and initiative were all used brilliantly and a lot of fun was had too! The teams explained their designs and thought processes as their models walked our class catwalk – it was great to hear how they responded and adapted their designs to problems faced. Well done P6!

P7 music technology
Primary 7 have been using a new computer programme to find out about music technology and to create their own music… maybe we have the next Calvin Harris
Show Racism the Red Card
Primary 6 asked their fellow students and teachers to wear something red today in support of the charity ‘Show Racism the Red Card’.
P6 have been studying equality and forms of discrimination this term and Show Racism the Red Card is the UK’s largest anti racism educational charity which promotes equality for all.
P6 would like to say thank you for all your kind donations as an amazing £300 was raised for the charity.
As these photos show the school was a sea of red for the day!
Dear World Leaders…
P7 have been learning about climate change and the upcoming COP26, we created images to show what we want to tell the world leaders and they have been sent to the scottish government to be included in a book that will be presented at the COP26.
Grid references and coordinates in P7
P7 have been consolidating their learning of grid references and coordinates and have designed and created their own for others to give the points or grid references for! A great morning to do maths outdoors
