P7 organised a great day for the whole school to raise money for SCIAF. The morning was great fun with various stalls and games then we had a very competitive and exciting staff against P7 football match. We were really put through our paces but ended on a respectable score of 5-5!

Pop Lacrosse Tournament
On Monday 27th March our P7 Pop lacrosse team went up to Dumfries and Galloway College to play in the regional tournament. I am so proud of the way our pupils conducted themselves, their lacrosse skills and team work were so impressive. We won all of our games against Troqueer, Kirkpatrick Fleming, Newington and came first place after an exciting game with St Teresa’s Primary. They too had 14 points but we won on goal difference, I could barely watch it was so exciting! Well done Ben, Bobbi, Callum, Ethan, Jodi, Kerra, Harvey, Louise, Reign, a great achievement!
Cross Country Competition
Three Primary 6 girls braved the elements today to take part in the Nithsdale Primary Schools Cross Country Championships. The conditions were very muddy and it was extremely cold but the girls showed great determination with Leah finishing an amazing 6th out of over 40 girls and as a team the girls finished an impressive 5th! The hot vimtos when we got back to school were definitely needed! Well done Girls!

Nursery goings on!
Look at what we’ve been up to in Nursery! We’ve had a busy few weeks recently! With sessions of Balance Bikes and Let’s get Sporty, we’ve had a visit from our Dental Health Officer, Pam, and her friend Farley. Aaaaaaand we had a town walk looking at the old buildings and even a story in the Ewart Library, all tying in with our topic about the past. As you can imagine, we were super tired that day! Currently we are collecting photos of weddings, christenings, confirmations to show each other in Nursery, so if you still have some at home, we would really like to see them!

Active Girls Week
This week as part of our Cluster Health Programme we have been offering lunch time activities to celebrate girls in sport. All classes had an activity to attend and received water, fruit snack and a certificate for taking part. Our Sports Committee Reps, Shannon and Nicole helped promote the event. Well done all who attended!
