P7 Pilgrimage to St. Ninian’s Cave, Whithorn

Last Friday our P7s met up with P7s from across the Catholic primaries in Dumfries and Galloway. We journeyed to St. Ninian’s Cave to celebrate together and mark the final few weeks of primary school. Fr. Gerald led us in Mass at the cave. We then had lunch on the beach followed by a relaxing couple of hours playing on the beach and paddling in the sea. Before heading home Fr. Gerald treated us all to a burger/roll and a refreshing drink at Central Café in Whithorn. Thanks to Fr. Gerald and thanks to Paul and Elizabeth Soriani of the Central Café. We had a super day out. It is always a nice way to begin to mark the end of P7’s academic year and their time in primary school.

Start of Year Mass

We will have Mass in the school this Wednesday morning. Fr. David will lead us for the final time as our chaplain. He is moving to the cathedral in Ayr at the end of September. We wish him well in his preparations for the move to his home town. Fr. David has been very good to us at St. Andrew’s School. People of the Parish and school communities are most welcome to attend. Mass is at 10am on Wednesday morning.
