Congratulations to the children at St Andrew’s and St Teresa’s who celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation last night.  It was lovely to watch the children continue on the next step of their Sacramental journey.

Well done to all!

Several of our children in P4-7 were keen to start the morning run club again.  They are now on week 2 of this session and managed to brave the very cold conditions on Friday to get out and about and enjoy a healthy start to the day. Well Done!

This month we have been focussing on our school value ‘Responsible – We Care For Our Environment’.

The following pupils have been awarded certificates for setting a super example to others when looking after our school and wider environment.

Yesterday we celebrated World Book Day.  Our theme was the colours of the rainbow and children (and teachers) were invited to come in dressed as a colour of the rainbow and bring in a related book.  This meant we had a very colourful day and even managed to get a whole school rainbow photo in the hall.

The library is currently getting a revamp and Mrs Kerr had the brilliant idea of getting each child to create their own ‘book’ from cereal boxes.  I am sure you will agree the results look amazing!

We also had class visits from the Scottish Book Trust Co-ordinator and she will be visiting other classes over the next few weeks.
