Today we made chocolate crispy cakes to inspire us in writing a class poem.
First we broke up the chocolate bars and melted the chocolate while talking about what we could smell. Then we poured in rice crispies.
After that we mixed the crispy cakes, listening to what noises we could hear.
Next we took turns filling our bun cases and sharing our ideas of what the filled cases looked like.
Finally we munched and crunched our cakes, telling each other what we thought they tasted like.
Last of all we suggested describing words for a class poem. We hope you like it.
Chocolate Crispy Cakes by P1
I can see shiny, bubbly melted chocolate.
I can hear crunching noises and children squealing.
I can smell sugary, sweet chocolate.
I can feel warm, gooey, bumpy sandcastles.
I can taste a sweet, silky, creamy crispy cake.
