K’nex Challenge

On 26 April 2013 Lindsay and I went to Lockerbie Academy for a K’nex Challenge Heat. We competed against pupils from Applegarth Primary, Lockerbie Primary and Hotsbridge Primary. The challenge was to make a cart to fit a size 3 shoe inside; it needed to have a roof and something to keep the shoe secure. After an hour of hard work our time was up. The judges checked to see if our cart held the shoe and asked us about our cooperation. They added up our score and we came 3rd!

On the 3 May 2013 we had to go to Dumfries Academy for the final of the K’nex challenge. The challenge was to make a bridge that moved out of the way for ships. We were given an hour to complete this challenge, we tried hard but we found it very difficult. This time there was only a 1st and 2nd place but everyone got a prize for getting to the final. Even though we did not come in 1st or 2nd, we still enjoyed our selves.
