Ice 🧊

Yesterday I made 2 ice gardens using plants 🌱 and flowers🌼

I put some plants and flowers and water into 2 different tubs then froze it. In the morning I proceeded to put the tubs into hot water which made a little bit of the ice melt which made it easier for me to get it out with out cracking it.

Here are some photos.

Ok, so there’s a lot of photos but comment if you think I did a good job,or don’t I’m not the boss of you.

I’m going to do the ice sculpture next so check back!

P. 1-4 Science

This week we have been learning all about melting and freezing! We did and experiment to see what temperature water has to be before it freezes. We put it outside and in the fridge but they weren’t cold enough. Only the water we put in the freezer froze. Then we tried putting ice in different places to see how fast we could melt it. We found out that the warmer places made it melt faster. The best place was on the radiator. Mrs. Queen had a piece in her hand – it melted quickly but she felt pretty chilly!

Dinosaurs Rule!!

P1-4 have been learning about dinosaurs. We made a play about how dinosaurs became extinct. We made paper mache dinosaurs. We made habitats for different dinosaurs in trays using sand and dirt and twigs and stones from outside. We found facts about different dinosaurs and we even wrote stories about them. Some dinosaurs were carnivores and some were herbivores. Kye’s favourite carnivore was the spinsosaurus. Hayden’s favourite herbivore was the ankyosaurus. Ryan liked the brachiosaurus. We really enjoyed learning about dinosaurs, thanks Kye for suggesting the topic!
