I have been reading a book about monkeys. The first monkey in the book is the squirrel monkey, baby monkeys can be brought up by their Mum or Dad. This is a picture of the squirrel monkey

I would give monkeys book a mark of 100/100. I am a monkey fan. I have lots of monkey stuff including:
teddy’s
a pillow
& a blanket.

100 degrees below zero, directed by R.D. Braunstein, is a low budget film and you can notice. Through-out the film you notice that when they are going up the Eiffel tower in the middle of a very, very bad snow storm you can see on the ground there is no snow and there is free-flowing traffic. The film is very unrealistic for instance when there is an earthquake the way the actors fall looks fake.
The story line is about a father who has just got married is trying to reach his teenage son and daughter who have been studying in Paris. But there is a problem, a volcanic eruption in Iceland has caused a series of other eruptions and earthquakes across Europe. This results in there being so much ash in the air that there is a modern ICE AGE… With the help of a few friends along the way, they try to reach an military base, which will enable them to escape in a cargo plane to Australia. Will they get there in time?
This film is quite good and over all I would give it a 8/10.

This book is all about a little penguin he is washed up one night after a big storm hit the island. Luckily a boy called tom found him in the morning washed up on the beach so tom took him home in a cardboard fish and chips box toms mum phoned a penguin expert so she could see what the matter was with the penguin. the expert came round straight away the expert said they had to take it back to the beach so they left it there. I thought it was a very good book I would recommend it to anyone I liked the bit were the boy rescued  the penguin I wish it had more chapters though 8/10 I gave it. it is not a reading challenge book

you need to control the line .

let the kite fly the line has  to be long enough .

to get a kite to fly you need to run and hold and let it go also  you need wind.

In this generation, there are many different and amazing kite designs! Kites come in all shapes and sizes. Kites need lots of wind to make them fly. if your kite  is made of paper you can not fly it. This is because it will get soggy and fall out of the sky.

to build our kite, we used straws, sticks, wool, string, plastic straws, sticky tape, fabric, paper and scissors.

We built our kites by doing:

make the shape you wanted from plastic straws. Tied them  together with string. We cut the fabric with the scissors to the shape of the frame using sticky tape.  by jack p2

Marconi made a kite in 1901 it made a radio signal a crus the Atlantic ocean.

The kite was a hexagon.

you will need,

scissors, tape , stick , paper ,glue , string , light and strong paper, 2x thin sticks.

What to do!

Ask an adult to do a deep notch in the two  thin sticks. Now cross them and rap string around them.

Now cut a bit of strong and light paper to form your kite shape.

Add a hole or glue string get some thing to rap string around like a rolling pin.

if you want you can make some decorations of a kite !

A super kite is a kite which is bigger or more fancy than a normal kite.

Some of them are shaped like teddy bears, some of them are bigger than a whale. And that is big!!

Super kites are all different colours and are made of different materials like a parachute!

Super kites can pull along kite buggies with people on them – this is a sport which can be fast and dangerous.

People take their super kites to festivals and competitions and they get bigger and better every year!
