Holywood Hullabaloo

We had so much fun today  glasgow    science centre came to Hollywood school and did fun experiments.

Today Glasgow science centre came down today and miss dale got a mashes on arm . We tested her hand writing waist doing the mashes on her arm.

We all learnt what the hart and the lungs do to in our as a great team together so the rite lung is smaller than our left won, and if we pall a mussel the blood  can help it recover but if you pall mort than just a copal you  have to wet 6 month to recover.

so after lunch time we are all doing workshops for our finis and it is called fitness lab. miss dale

today Glasgow since centre came to Holywood primary school to teach us a Bout how the body works  and my big brother put on kitty cat ears and kaylan had a basket ball hat Dylan had  to get the ball balls on the hat and the hat is so sticky and the balls are sticky to.

Today Glasgow Science Centre on tour came to our school and they have been travelling  all around schools in Scotland. We did a programme called  get active with Craig and Gemma.

We started off with a challenge about how oxygen travels around the body so we had light up bouncy balls that we took from the body board you had to take it to the lungs and light it up we all saw how hard it was for our bodies to let oxygen travel through.

Next we put fairy liquid, Hydrogen peroxide and potassium  iodide in a bottle and it was to show our muscles when we workout when they start to burn that was the acid

Kaylan and Dylan volunteered to be in one of the experiments a by putting a device with a pair of ears on it Attached to his ears and head to showing his brains thinking. The ears stayed straight when he was focused but moved when he had brain waves they moved. Kaylan put a Velcro hat on and Dylan through balls at her to demonstrate his thinking.

finally we finished with electric shocking Miss Dale to see the difference in her handwriting!!!

I am going to train every day so that I can come in the top 5 next year!

Hayden was the Holywood Champion – he got the POW! watch and a silver medal for coming in second in his race.

The primary fours did a great job for their first cross country event – everyone who took part crossed the finish line.

We were all very proud of each other!!

To day we have Glasgow science centre we had them in the morning at 2pm we are doing fitness stuff and I got rabbit ears on what when I got happy the started wiggling and when I was concentrating  they stand pointing up do we played basket ball Dylan and kaylan and kaylan had a sticky vela crow that when I chuck a ball and it took 4 shot but when I hut it the ears started wiggling.  

On Tuesday Holywood Primary school p4/7 and Thousands of other schools where at the Cross country championships Finals. We Where under the Small schools I came 17th for the 1 mile and for the 800m Greg Came 18th also Greg’s  friend Hayden came 2 ands won a silver Medal on the 800m Run. There where a lot of pictures toking. Everyone enjoyed themselves after the Event we went to the Park and played some games.

On the 24th of March 2016 we had a surprise… Glasgow Science Centre came! The little ones were first and they done go oxygen go and the big ones done get active we all loved it. The man made a bubble monster it took a long time made with fairy liquid and a chemical that you use to die your hair!!! So we also have another workshop after lunch and then we use that for to test our muscles(wow that is cool)!

Today Glasgow Science Centre came to our school!!! They came to do a programme called get active. First we started by learning about the heart and lungs, we did an experiment by getting Keira to try and get 5 balls lit up at the same time it was really hard because they only lit up for 20 seconds . Then we did a second experiment for our muscles which involved all the experiment to explode it slithered like a snake down the side of the bottle. Then we did another experiment to test the focus of our brains. Me and Dylan had to go up as volunteers, Dylan was playing basketball and I was the net he had to throw soft balls at me and try and hit my head with them I had to try and get them on my head then the hat I  had to wear got stuck in my hair ” this made me very embarrassed” # Kaylan .    # Miss Dale carnage:  Miss dale got an electric shock in one of the experiments.
