On Wednesday we went to Rock UK or a residential. When we were there did activities including kayaking and canoeing.
Canoeing
First we put on a helmet and a live vest for safety. After we had done that we got in to partners and fond a canoe to sit in. Once we got in to our canoes they pushed us in to the water. AND WE LANCHED IN TO THE WATER! We had a little paddle around for a while and wend around an island. Alothgh some mud feel out a tree and landed on my head! After we got round the island we played a game in the canoes called fruit salad. In fruit salad you get given a fruit. If the instructor calls your fruit you stand up and shout whatever fruit you are. And they might say your fruit squash that means you have to stand up and shout what you are and then do a big jump! Since we had extra time, we played a game called consequences canoe. To play this we all held on each other’s canoes. The instructors ask everyone the same question like do you have a cat? If they do they go into the consequences canoe. If you are in the consequences canoe and the next question does not apply to people in the canoe they have to leave.
Kayaking
Once we got to the shed, we put a live vest and a helmet. After we put them on we got into a line from shortest to tallest to see what size of kayak you need. I got a small green one. After that we sat in them there was two little black footrest that we had to adjust to fit us. Once we had done that we slowly shuffled towards the water off the dock. SPLASH the front of my kayak went right into the water and popped back up! In the water we played bulldog. In bulldog the person who is IT needs to tap the back of the other peoples kayak to IT them. If you get IT you join the bulldog!
Hello today i am going to talk about writing in p6/7.
For writing we are given a series of tasks which are to use at least 3 conjunctions to extend our sentences. To use 2 short sentences each has to include exactly 3 words and 1 of them has to have a ! at the end. there is examples on my writing then the last requirement is we need a question.
To mark them we use a highlighter and a coloured pencil to mark our conjunctions we circle them with the highlighter for the short sentences we underline them with the highlighter and the question word and mark is ticked with the coloured pencil.
last week we had Easter day!!!! I am in the events groups so I helped think of some activities. I thought of pin the bow tie on the bunny. We also did a crazy egg obstacle course , egg painting and P.E (egg themed) By Grace bye.
It is Nia and Mena and today we are going to blog about Easter day.
We done lots of activities such as egg designing, eggcersices, bouncy egg obstacle courses, Kahoot quiz and pin the bow tie on the rabbit. At the end of the day some people got prizes for the best designed egg, the fastest person to do the egg obstacle course, the closest person to pin the bow tie on the rabbit.
Hello I’m going to be talking about plastic pollution!
First the plastic is made in the factory. Then the plastic is transferred to a local shop. After that the plastic gets bout and we eat ,we drink or use the product.
There is two ways it goes it gets dumped or it gets recycled which is the good thing to do .
Then it gets used again and again and again if you recycle.
If you recycle we wont get sick from eating fish that eat plastic.
Sometimes plastic breaks down that is called micro plastic .
Hi it’s Daniel here. Today I’m going to talk about the cycle of plastic. First the plastic is made in a factory. Next plastic is transferred in a big lorry to the shops. Penultimately the shops puts the plastic in stock. There is tons of plastic in the shops. Finally people buy the plastic and it goes to there house in shelves, cupboards and many more. Now it splits it can ever go bad our good. we will do good first. First people recycle it. Next the bin lorry’s take it back to the factory and it gets turned back into new stuff. Now it is the bad side. First people throws there plastic out on the streets. Next it drifts into the river and goes into the ocean. Finally it makes a massive junk pile in the ocean.
Hi is Thomas and Rune. Today we will be talking about plastic and all the different tips of plastics. It starts in a factory then goes in to a van and goes to a shop. People get there plastic bottles and you can use 2 times maybe. Bad side people throw plastic in to the river, ocean and lakes. The baby fish could get sick and die because they eat microplastics. Good side people put things in the recycle bins and it can get used again.
