Holywood Hullabaloo

Last Tuesday we went to samye ling temple. we learned how to meditate and we sow people chant.we olso so cool statues.

On Friday the 6th of may p1-3 went to a church from 930 till 11 o’clock in the morning. First we got a bus trip till we got to the church. When we got to the church we met a man called Robin who was the rector who showed us around the church. We found out in our church topic that the benches that you sit on are called pews.

On a Tuesday  we went to  the  Buddhist  temple  on a bus it toock a 1 our to get there.

we went  to the temple first, then we went to the lunch. Then we went back to the temple to hear drums and chanting. By James

On  Friday  p1/3 went to the church . When we got to the church the man shod us a statue that had hundreds of names with people that died . after that when we got in the church I took my coat of and went in the we  got to se all sorts of thing s .

On Tuesday the 3rd may 2016 p1/7 went to samye ling. It was very cool it had los of statues. The lady Buddha is called Tara.

On Tuesday the 3rd of May we went to The Buddhist temple in Eskdalemuir because we have been learning about that religion. Our tour guide was a man called Peter who is a Buddhist himself. He taught us how to meditate in the meditation room and after lunch we watched and listened to some chanting. The temple is huge and really colourful these are what the colours symbolise:

Blue-Sky

Red-Fire

Yellow-Earth

Green-Water

There was also black and gold and there was another symbol that meant space but we don’t know what that colour is.

At a Buddhist Temple we were looking at a golden Buddha statue. We were learning about the temple. I enjoyed it. I would recommend this to everyone.
