Operation Safety

On Tuesday the 27th September only the p7s went to Operation Safety! It is a way to keep young people up to date about staying safe and it was a blast. The first thing I done was something about bonfire night. You used a fake firework and then chucked it on safety tape and whatever you landed on there was a question and a picture and if it was safe you could put it beside the fire. the second thing was with sp energy networks the sp mean Scottish power. We talked about how to stay safe when you find a open electrical wire or if there was something in where they were working and we done an experiment that you held each others hands and it conducted electricity and we got some free pencils and some other stuff. The third part was the paramedics where you had someone lying on the floor and you had to do stuff like the recovery position and check her pulse and when you moved the chair there was a scream! In the end you get her up and she is fine after that it was lunch and everyone was talking and having fun then we had a race… Who could put on a fireman’s uniform the fastest and next there was 2 uniforms: Police and fire who won the police and I was in the fire uniform and sadly I didn’t win but it was fun. After lunch it was with the police with how to stay safe online and it was a chat room made for this event and there was kid 1 all the way to kid 17 and we were not supposed to give out any information that is private because if you done that in real life you would regret it. After that it was the fire with how to spot danger in houses and outside and we found at least 17 dangers and they were like water opened up with no lid beside a electronic and a heater right beside a bed with stuff on it with a phone charging and wire under a table… On our way out we had a surprise a chip pan explosion with an actual fire and using water it went in a giant explosion that no one got hurt in and it was a trained professional that made it go in a boom

I really enjoyed going and it is sad that it was only a couple of hours long!

operation safety!

on Tuesday p7’s went to operation safety. at a film studio first we had fire safety with a lady. After w had a police talk about fire works I nearly lost all of our point by an inch. then it was the Scottish power talk and we all got freebies at the end. it was the paramedic room and  actor was on the floor like she got electrocuted and fell of the chair the guy was vey funny and made jokes like mad. but when somebody tried to move her leg and she screamed so loud I think I went deaf for a minute. then it was a internet experiment on a thing called teenchat but the end there where 3 teens who where spying on us and got our name but at the end we blew up a burger van it was so cool. When we got home it was gym.

play time at holywood

To day we play on the hills and we where rolling down on the hills and after break time me and Zak played with the ball cannon and. spin plate  and a really boncey  ball and the spinning top and it is really good

Break time

Today at break time Merissa and me were doing some gymnastics we were doing crabs ,round offs and  cartwheels I thought that Merissa was good at everything she She just needed to get her arms straight at the crabs and so do I we have been doing this all week . we also had fun by playing in the mud kitchen. then after the mud kitchen we did double cartwheels and a cartwheel race .

Operation safety

Operation safety is back again with a new batch of p7’s to test on there stuff including a social network site for schools and also a scary first aid course ( including screaming teenager) the sp energy network was there to.

the fun came with the police testing a new social networking site which was called teen chat but it was fake and made by the council to see what we would put for internet safety.

next was the fire men with fire work safety which contained what can go on the bonfire and what cannot go on the bonfire then we go to a room for rent but we have to make it safe.

the ambulance service was there as well to teach some first aid basics including the recovery position and also the abc’s of first aid which was cool but the only disappointment was the screaming girl it was a disappointment the girl was unconscious it was rubbish ( the screaming girl).

Scottish power was there as well to lighten the mood with electricity we seen that we conduct electricity through the wonder stick then we put lots of stuff in the mix to make it cool other stuff that does not conduct electricity to.
