Holywood Hullabaloo

Today we  watching newround and we hared that lodes of  dolphins were having fun for 8 hours in the sea. They where jumping through the waves and the sun was sinning on the dolphins. the waves splash

1. A pod of Dolphins were filmed jumping around in the sea catching fish. These Dolphins were filmed from above for more than 2 hours!
2. Lots of Pelicans are becoming ill because of a type of algae that grows under the sea. Small amounts of the algae are not that bad for these sea birds but Pelicans have large diets so they scoop up lots of the algae. When the birds are ill they are taken to a wildlife reserve and given a swimming pool to chill out in. When better, the birds are released and they fly out to sea.
3. Scientists in China have constructed a machine to help astronomers/themselves to find out the behaviour of black holes. The machine s launched into space and there the stars when they are sucked in, give of an x-ray and then the machine will show it to the scientists/astronomers.
4. A lady got a certificate from the Guinness Book Of World Records for dangling higher than anyone has ever been before. She performed tricks without even a harness! She was then lowered down to the ground from the bottom of a Helicopter and released from the rope that held her hoop up.

birds are in danger of a type algae that is making them sick and they might die because of it. And people are helping them and taking them home and feeding them and letting them swim in there pool. and then they release them back in to the wild.

Today we watched Newsround and it was about a woman who acrobatic out of a helicopter on a string  to do tricks above the diagra falls 100m above it and doing flips in the air. there was also dancing dolphins in the sea. There was also pelicans who if they ate a little plant they would get a sore belly so they got kept in a swimming pool till it was all removed .

some pelicans In America has been eating algae which is making them ill and they can’t fly or swim. But an animal rescue has been helping them go back to their original state  and now have been released back to wild and with all the other pelicans.

this week at holywood we have done a lo t including Wednesday sports day with a lot of medals won and a trophy which was earned after a lot of time.  Also come and see our avatars we made on the computer which looks nothing like us and also we had created what we would do in the future mine is so bright with a lot of happiness and some sadness.

we learned that it was our last day of maths today and we are all sad.

Today we watched news round and there was a woman who got out of a plane and started doing tricks and the height  was about 100 meters and she was on a hoola hoop I think and she was strapped in with ropes

and she was near Nagara falls and she landed safe and she done it to beat the world record.

Today on newsround was some pretty weird stuff including a woman hanging over the Niagara falls and BBC music day world record. First thing was a telescope launched by China and it will x-ray for black holes and send the data back to earth so we can get a better understanding of black holes. Second was the world record for the most amount of drums played for 5 minutes and they got it. The last thing was the lady that hanged over 100 meters over the Niagara  falls in Canada

The Seniors have been working on Renewable Energy Animations with Miss Findlay. The results are amazing! Here is how to make one yourself:

1. First you have to get a bunch of paper and pick your Renewable Energy Source.
2. Secondly you have to draw pictures that match your source. For example a picture of the happy wildlife if you are doing Fossil Fuels.
3. Now you have to colour in your images.
4. After a while of colouring in you can take pictures of every drawing 3 times.
5. Now you have to go to PowerPoint
6.  After you get onto PowerPoint you start inserting your pictures onto each slide. You may need a lot!
7. Finally after putting in the pictures you need to save your work.
