Holywood Hullabaloo

Today at half past nine we started sports day I was really cold at the start but it got warmer and warmer and I was so  warm we also made a new race called cartwheel race it was just a practice. I only came third once and second twice I won nothing but I had to much fun to care.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      by Dakota

Today was sports day and I got 3 1st, 2 2nds and 1 3rd. I was very nervous the day before we done sports day but it was very fun.

My first race was the sprint race with the p6 girls I came in 1st place! My second race was egg on the spoon and this race was with the p6-7 boys and girls and I luckily came in 2nd place! The 3rd race was the sack race AND I WASNT EXCITED! I done the sack race with p6-7 and I came in 2nd place! After I done the sack race I wasn’t as nervous as I was before. After I done the sack race we done coach and horses I was with Orla and sadly we came in 3rd place, but it was fun! One of the last race was the skipping race which is my favorite race!!! and I came in 1st place. Last we all done the big whole school race! what you had to do was go over the hills, under the tunnel, in the willow tunnel and under the tarpaulin. I came in 2nd place because some people didn’t know that we had to go under the tarpaulin.

 

I had a really fun time doing sports day!

Tomorrow the rest of the primary 7s are going to high school for 3 days.

3 Of the primary 7s (Kaylan , Georgia and Greg) are away today in till Thursday what means they are luckily back on Friday.

On Friday the 7th of June from 2pm – 4pm, we are holding our Gala day! Parents, Grandparents and younger siblings are all welcome! There are lots of different stalls like Splat The Rat, Tie-Die T-shirts, Bonus Ball, The cake stall and more!

Georgia, Ebony and me are doing face painting! There are lots of different designs we can do, so make sure to stop by!

Everyone in school is really busy organizing their stalls. Everyone chose a group and then we chose what we wanted to do. We have been organizing our stalls for about 4 weeks.

Two week ago we went to do a town trip for social study’s they picked the groups before so no one knew who was with who except for the teachers who were going. There were five teams of eight most had two p7s but one had zero and one had three p7s.The first day we did dock park tasks which were draw a accurate map of dock park, the second task was pacing out the park from the entrance to the café, the café to the park, the park to the titanic monument, the monument to the band stand and then quite a bit more till are bone almost shattered after it.

2 weeks ago we had a town trip and we were split in 6 groups and I wad in miss Jardin. here is the people in my group me, Euan ,Alexa,cleo,Josie,Mena, moirah, Abigail and Freddie. so we started at dock park and we hade to do some tasks and the first one was draw a accurate map of dock park and label it then see how many steps it was to here to there. the second task was take a picture with everyone in our group next to the Holywood tree. Then we went to Robert burns house and we had one big task to do witch was find certain things about his house and his furniture. Then we went to the 4 bridges and we had to draw the 4 bridges PS accurate. Then we went home! until the next day on our town trip.
