I think our school has done really well, they have improved our learning and improved there way of teaching. they have took the feed back from last year and fixed there mistakes. Holywood is a team they help each other out when one is down! this years gala day was one of the most successful years, one of the stalls in particular was they wax melt stall they made a profit of up to 80 or so!

Hi this me telling you about high school it was a big school at first I was scared put then it was’int scared I felt fine. Then we walk to the hall and head houses where talk about groups I was in group 1H2.

I had a cousin at the school but back on track i made a lot friend mostly at F5/F4  here is the names Ross, John, Conner, Lewis W, Paul, The support Teachers and more.

F5/F4 is a support room for people with problems it was nice little room with uno, drawing stuff, computers, games and more it’s nice little calm room

Math’s/ this term  math’s has been really challenging and fun.

P.E/ This year has been really Exciting and fun to do but sadly our teacher left to have her baby.

After school clubs/ All after school clubs are really fun my favourite is football and gymnastics.

Water slide day/ Water slide day really not fun all you do is get burns from the tarp.

Writing/ I really don’t like writing because all the stuff if really not fun the only good part is wen we learn new words .

 

I had three induction days at Wallace hall academy and it was amazing. First I had to get the bus and it was nerve-wracking but I was excited so we had to stand up for 30 minutes until we got there and when I arrived I had a gut sinking feeling. I started to feel comfortable. The first period was drama and all we did was games. when lunch crept up there was a massive selection. There was 2 people in some of my classes and they were annoying they got told off several times and they didn’t listen. but overall I enjoyed it.

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I was at the Academy. The first day I was put in Haining most of my friends were put in Barrie and Laurie house I knew this people from basketball then we when to are tutor
class. are teacher was Mrs. Turska her last class left and we are her new class now then we went to maths were Mrs. maire. then at after lunch we had double home economics and made oat biscuits with Mrs. Dorrans. Then the next two day we had Mr. scade for English last both days I had Mr. Mika for social study’s P.E with Mr. Douglas. the lunch’s were pretty good and my favorite subject was social study’s.

This is the last week of term.  The school is so excited.

Dear Holywood,

This year has been extraordinary! We have been learning a bundle of learning! A lot has happened this year for example: In math’s we have been learning fractions, times tables and co-ordinates.

Our favourite time of the year was: Week in the woods, KiVa, French and Gala day because all of the subjects was very fun and exciting but it also was challenging!

Our least  favourite subjects was: Scots language, Music and Outdoor learning we think scots language got very boring and we felt like we weren’t doing second level work and I didn’t like outdoor learning from the start  of this year because we are doing the same work over and over again  and I didn’t like music because we had to keep doing it over and over again and it gat a bit boring.

On the induction days we did a lot of different subjects including Maths, Sighince, p.e. , English and drama. in sighince we used Bunsen burners in the class we learnt how to use them safely and  how they work in English we sat beside someone and interviewed them with questions like when was your birthday do you have brothers or sisters and what is your faverout song/music that kind of stuff  at the end of the day I got on the bus almost missed my stop KAYLAN! and went home.

On Wednesday p.7s went to secondary school first we got put into house groups and  I’m in bucclough after that we went to registration my teacher was Mrs. Holmes.

After that we went to steam with Mrs. Hogg all we had to was pick a subject for S.3 I can`t remember what I picked.

After that we did Science with Mrs. Earle I was in lab 10 in science we did a safety check and all the girls had to tie there hair up if they are near boncine burners.

After that it was lunch when everyone had lunch we all went back to class I went to Spanish but we only did that for 45 minutes all we did was see what we can say.

my last class was mathes it was ok its not that hard all we were doing was fractions, decimals and number lines then drawing.

 

 

Thursday we just did drawing what was good so if we were in English we did a black out poems and in mathes we just did cross words.

 

 

Friday was really easy we did ICT religious education mathes again and then French that was my favorite because I know it really well because of Mrs. Hamilton.
