Holywood Hullabaloo

Hi everyone esmae here. I done a stop motion video of me and my dog Lily using play doh. But when I uploded it nothing happened.  It took ages😔😔 I have been doing maths today timetables and division  also adjectives and reading

 

I have discovered that the branches from my fallen tree are not quite as green as I had thought and the wood is hard and difficult to whittle.  As a consequence of this, I have cracked the handle on my pen knife.  I have ordered another one but I don’t know when it will arrive.

If you are planning on doing some whittling, please do not be tempted to cut branches from living trees at this time of year.  The trees are just waking up from their winter sleep and the sap inside them is rising which means that if you cut them now the sap would keep pouring out of them and they could die.  The safe time to cut branches from living trees is winter when they are dormant (sleeping).

However, I have managed to do a bit of whittling.  I drew around my template and started to cut away the wood around my spoon.  This is as far as I have got. 

Today I started with my shaddow art which I loved! I got some dinosaurs and trees from my box and my mum got a lamp to shine behind them which made a shaddow in the paper, I drew round the shaddowsvto get my picture then coloured it in, this was a lot of fun and will do it again, maybe with a tractor! Freddy my dog liked to watch

After lunch we made a big high tower right to the ceiling! That was a lot of fun too, we are going to see if we can keep it until daddy comes home

 

 

 

On April fools day I put salt on Nathan’s chips. Then I took a picture saying April fools on it and put it in mum’s room for her to find. She did. There was 2 or  3 more April fools day  things I did.

Hi Rhona is back i’m just blogging because I have noticed there have been a lot of birds in my garden recently like:

Robins, Great tits, Blue tits, Sparrows tree and house ones, Tree creepers, Starlings, Green Finches, Wood Peckers, Siskins, Redpolls, Blackbirds, Wood pigeons, Wrens, Collared doves, Pheasants, SEAGULLS! I know and we are in the country! I don’t like seagulls! None of them have come to the bird feeders recently so that’s lucky, Crows, Chaffinches, Dunnocks, Long tailed tits. And Coal tits.

sometimes in the summer we get house sparrows and in 2018 a house sparrows nest fell down and the chicks fell down off of the house and there was only one survivor sadly :(. We kept it and called it sam because we didn’t know if it was male or female. We fed sam and took care of him until he went to the wild life hospital. Here are 2 pictures of him.

 

 

 

We put all the boxes on top of a table. It reached from the floor to the ceiling then we made a family tower

Last Thursday we did outdoor learning.

in outdoor learning our mum let us get the fire pit out so we could light a fire . We collected dry wood around  the garden but mum was scared when we lit it.

Hello, I am back again! hope you are happy to see me…so yesterday NWCC handed out grow your own flowers/ veg. I took 3 small pots, basically it has a little pallet in a small pot. you add water to the pallet it then absorbs the water so then it grows! oh yes it also comes with seeds. you then add the soil into the pot half way then add the seeds. then fill it up all the way. take the tag that comes with it. then you are finished! (you can get these at M&S) the best place to put them when you are done is a window sill. water them and then wait!
