Maths scavenger hunt
What I’ve been up to
Hey everyone, Cleo here! Today I will be talking about what i have been up to in home school.
We have been learning about food chains. We watched a few videos explaining food chains. We matched the words to their meanings and then drew a food chain. I have shown the chain from algae to orca whale.
We made a bug hotel at the front of our house. We used sticks, bark, moss, pine cones, bricks for the base and leaves. Here are some pictures of our step by step process.

I’ve been doing more five a day for maths and a bit of Sumdog.
Today I did some 15 minute quick writing. Here it is…
If there was a place I could go tomorrow it would probably be M&D’s. The reason I would want to go is because it is a fun theme park. My favourite ride is the train roller coaster because is isn’t to fast and it isn’t to slow. I do also like the log flume. There is an animal place there to with parrots, snakes, a toucan and much more. There are 40 rides at M&D’s. Not only is there rides and animals there’s also an arcade. The arcade is quite big. I have a lot of good memories from M&D’s. One of them were me and Mummy were on the Condor and when we were high up I would look down and she would scream! The Condor was a ride with eagle seats and it would spin around while going up. It would go really high.
I also had to find the list of tricky words in a dictionary. My Mummy’s favourite sentence was “I am difficult to rouse in the morning.” because it is true.

White board
In the last 2 days I have started writing my diary and have been doing the sums on the big maths mix up, I’ve done 60 sums so far.  Today I did my spelling test on the big white board with my nice pens for a wee change.
Im now off to play with my remote control cars in the sunshine again.

What I have been up to.
Hi everyone, It’s Carson!
This is my first post on the blog :). I have been working on my dinosaur valley with my mum and dad. It is made out of papier mache and has hills, water, grass, beach, volcano and woods! We painted it and it looks cool!
I have also been baking cakes. We’ve made cupcakes, shortbread, old school caramel cake (mum’s favourite), millionaire shortbread, chocolate cake and victoria sponge! We even made some peanut butter and banana cupcakes for our rat Belle’s birthday and the dogs had some too.
On Saturday we got the pool out and me and my sister were playing in it, and doing challenges. We also made a slide out of tarpaulin and we put soap on it. It was lots of fun.
I am learning about dinosaurs and we are going to make bug hotels for our topic and we are going to learn about butterflies and get some caterpillars.
peanut butter cupcakes
Hi everyone I haven’t posted at all but I am going to start doing it more often. So on Saturday it was my rat belles birthday so we had to make pet cupcakes for her and if you want you can make them for your dogs it is a really simple recipe. What you will need: peanut butter, bananas, 1 room temperature egg and baking powder. Mix three tablespoons of peanut butter and your room temperature egg together until its smooth then sit that to the side and get another bowl and put one banana in the bowl and mash it as much as you can. Then add your mashed banana into your peanut butter and mix it and now add half a tablespoon of baking powder and mix it until its all smooth then get you cupcake cases we made about 8 and just put the mix into the cases and put them in the oven for 15 mins and 180 degrees and when they are done take them out and you can put peanut butter on top for icing or you can just leave them (remember to let them cool down) and now give them to your dogs (go look at Carson’s post for the photos)
that’s all for now hope you like the recipe bye

Have you seen any of our P7 pupils?
They are rare and hard to spot on the blog.
You may have noticed them in the out in the garden; playing with their pet dog; baking with their mum; swimming in the river; feeding their pet rats or reading to their little brother.
If you spot one of our rare P7 pupils (we only have 5) could you ask them to post a blog.
Thank you for your help!
