What I’ve been up to.

Hi everyone
Hi Miss Brockie-Donald – I’m OK, just really missing all my friends and the playground.

I’ve been working hard on my maths again. I’ve been doing the subtractions that are on our sheet. I’ve been learning about needing to borrow a one to help work them out. I’ve also been trying to do my Sumdog challenge. I’ve been trying hard to be accurate. This one has been tricky.

I learned about life cycles. We watched some videos and I drew a life cycle of a butterfly. I really liked doing this and want to do more life cycles! I learned about inherited characteristics yesterday and we did the monster task. This is my picture of the parents and the baby monsters. I am going to give the puppy task a go this afternoon.

I’m still reading Ottoline and the Yellow Cat but today I took a break from it and read 2 books that Nana gave us that have tasks in them about tricky words. I’ll do the tasks tomorrow.

Yesterday I did spelling as part of literacy. I got 9 out of 10. Then wrote a sentence for each word. I also did some creative writing for literacy this morning. Here it is –

I was Yoda and I was in Dagobah eating. Darth Vader came. I said leave you must and took out my light saber. I hit Vader’s saber. Darth Vader said join the dark side. Luke Skywalker’s x-wing landed. Luke took out his light saber and said he will not join you Vader. Then Emperor Palpatine came and he shot lightening out of his hands hitting Luke. Luke got knocked out. Yoda ran away.
Then I woke up!

Finally I’ve checked my bug hotel and so far we only have ants, snails and the odd spider moved in. I’m now going to watch an episode of Horrible Histories. Bye for now.

school should be closed

I would rather be at home than at school  so I can spend more time with my family. Mum says its so I can spend longer on the PlayStation but I disagree.

At home we don’t need to wear a school uniform.

we can spend more time on what I struggle.

we can have a longer sleep before school.

after we’ve finished school work we can play.

75th Anniversary of VE DAY

This Friday marks the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe. A celebration marking the end of the second world war in Europe.

The May bank holiday was moved to this Friday so that people could have a day off and choose to celebrate if they want to.

Some places are having a Stay Home Street Party.

Some are going to hang bunting up on their fence or in their window.

Click on the link if you would like to know how to make your own bunting for this Friday.

I wonder if Colonel Tom Moore will hang victory bunting in his window?

I was riding

Today I was riding. I was riding with my sister Charlotte. My sister Cameron was lounging (you have a huge lead rope and put it on their bridle) her horse Effy. We were out there for about 20 minutes. I was just walking and trotting. My horse has had lamanitis a few weeks ago. My sister Charlotte was trotting a lot and a few canters. My sister Cameron was doing a bit of everything but not gallop. Hope you enjoyed my blog bye. By Orla. 😀😋🐴🦄🐎

Art Day

Today I did write down ten things I feel grateful for in life. These are my ten.

1. I love Sheepie because he helps me when I am sad. Sheepie is my teddy sheep that Caspian gave me as a present.

2. Blankie helps me when I am sad and I suck the corner of her when I go to bed.

3. I love my family a lot because they love me a lot and help me with my maths.

4. My seven cats love me, give me hugs and kiss me on the hand.

5. My mummy got me a lot of teddies so I teach them what i have learned. That’s how I know my mummy loves me so so so much.

6. My dog loves me because when I say sit, she sits.

7. My brother Caspian loves me because he lets me play on his game.

8. On my birthday, mummy, Mark and Caspian got me lovely presents.

9. Mummy loves me because she helps me with my lessons and teaches me baking.

10. My cat Nessaphina loves me because she bashes on to me all the time for cuddles.

I also had maths, and art and reading today.

See you tomorrow 🦄🐞🌼

Jam and Cream

Hi it’s Caspian here.

Today, I had maths, literacy, reading and art. I’ve moved on to a new book – Beast Quest, Vipiria by Adam Blade. It’s a quick fantasy read, fast paced and lots of action. I had some follow up questions to help me construct my sentences and tidy my handwriting presentation.

  • A late birthday present came in the post, mum ordered it but it didn’t come in time for 29th. She knows I loves wolves so she got me a sort of elemental wolf pendant.

I was tasked with writing ten things I’m grateful for and this was not difficult to come up with the ten. Because we are staying away from anyone outside our family for at least three months due to mum’s health, we spend a lot of time talking about what is really important to us.

In art, I drew some cool pictures of the Team Titan characters to stick on my new exercise book. Mum is going to cover them in clear covering to protect them.

We had homebaked fruit scones for tea with jam and cream. 😋

Bye for now! 🐺

Esmae’s blog

Hi everybody. Today I did mixed up times tables, multiplication, division, adding and subtracing. I got them all right. I’m finally getting the hand of my division sums😁 I then did my spelling. I’m on word list 20. Mummy gave me 21 words to spell and I got them all right. Then I learned about capitals of cities.
