BOOK BLETHER

Welcome to our second Book Blether chat!

What has everyone been enjoying reading this week?

Do you have a favourite type of book  – fiction, non-fiction, graphic novel, picture book, historical, adventure etc?

Do you stick to that genre or do you like to mix it up a bit?

Look forward to hearing from you!

TITANIC Poem

Oh she is, she really is divine,
The four funnelled flagship of White Star Line,
Ploughing through the Atlantic sea,
who knew lying under it was her destiny,

Why go so fast? You know there is ice ahead!
By this time tomorrow most will be dead,

To Shed some light in the gloom, the titanic is still a tomb,
not all the bodies have been found,
but others were and put under ground,
but there was a fire burning below,
too much heat has ignited some coal,
If they don’t burn it quick then they will be known,
as the ship that burned in the Atlantic so cold,

But despite this then no one must worry,
for all they know the ship is in a fury,
“Wait what? She’s sinking? All hands to the boats!”
Oh how I hope I don’t need to float.

Flutterbies Exercise 🦋💐

Today I learnt about butterflies,-first an egg, then a caterpillar, third a cocoon and last a beautiful butterfly.

My butterfly facts

1. Butterflies have big eyes.

2. They start out as caterpillars.

3. They are poisonous to birds.

4. Butterflies have makeup on their wings so they blend in with nature and don’t get caught or eaten.

5. Father butterflies are bigger than their wives.

Then I made an exercise video teaching people how to stretch. I will do more of my yoga classes for everyone. I can’t put my video on here because it is too big. 🙁😢

I wrote a song about rainbows. When I get a guitar and a piano, I will play the music to my words.

That’s it for now, see you tomorrow. 💜

Happy birthday Captain Tom Moore

Hello guys. It’s Captain Tom Moore’s birthday he is 100 years old (that’s a whole century). For his birthday British aircrafts flew over his house. He was a captain in the army. Captain Tom has inspired the nation.   He had raised more than 30 million pounds and it’s still going up. The money is going to help support the NHS. Hope you enjoyed my blog bye! By Orla

Cranimals 🐺

Hi, Caspian is back!

My title refers to the series of books I am writing based on animal hybrids. I spoke about this not too long back and I decided to reveal my illustrations to you today.

Today I found out about the life cycle of a butterfly. From my research, I watched a film about butterflies with David Attenborough.

For my lesson on health, I created an exercise routine for the family to do every week. I am not posting the video though as I’m too embarrassed!

I had a lesson on cleanliness in the home. An excuse by my mum to get me to tidy my chest of drawers! I also helped make fish pie-i made the parsley sauce.

Bye 🐺

PS I don’t know why my picture won’t rotate. Mum and I have looked all over for the rotate button but cannot find it anywhere on the menu. Sorry.

Big Thursday 30th April

Hi

I have been busy the past 2 days. Yesterday I made Honeycomb. This is what u need..

Butter for greasing tin

200g caster sugar

5 tbsp golden syrup

2 tsp bicarbonate of soda

It was lovely. My dad and I ate it all!  Yesterday I did some maths on the computer on Top Marks and I did some drawing in my book from the story ‘What the Ladybird Heard’.

Today I checked my bug hotel. I found a snail and a spiders web. I then did some Rhythm work. I loved this. I used 2 wooden spoons for drum sticks. Then I did some maths and read a book called ‘Better than you and Brr, it’s cold.
