Holywood Hullabaloo

Yesterday I did my normal school day. I did art. Me and my mum painted pebbles. We used oil pastels we still need to varnish them but we will have to buy some. We did that the day before as well. I have done a sunflower and my horses. My mum has done a heart and a cherry blossom tree. We do it in our summer shed. Hope you enjoyed bye. By Orla.

Hello my friends and teacher. I’ve been busy these last few weeks, I’ve been doing reading which I hate and maths and spelling, I don’t like doing school work at home. I miss being at school and seeing all my friends,I have been busy hiding my teddy and giving instructions and a map on how to find it, I have been out in the field picking up the rubbish as there is baby lambs and I don’t want to see them eating the rubbish. I have been baking and decorating biscuits and I love being out on my bike, we cycle down to the water to play and then cycle back, I love cycling fast down hills.i have been doing exercise on the trampoline and I’ve been helping daddy on the farm sometimes too feeding the cows..

Hi so today i am talking to Alexa and I am going to do math I like math. Alexa has been cleaning her room mine is clean already. I am with my stuffed animals to blueberry and strawberry they are bunnys.do you like bunnys? I have To go bye

I am back with another blog.today im joined by molly! Again. We are phoning again 😄.so what ive been doing is tidying my bedroom💫⭐. Georgias school has a 30 day drawing challenge🌈.so far ive drawn me and my friends👭 and a unicorn🦄. I found a nightlight which  im gonna use cus im scared of the dark😥💎.so the teacher keep giving me certificate witch i dont need😅.do u guys like tigers?.

Yesterday we did big Thursday and mummy made us hide a toy and then give instructions how to find it. I hid a toy dolphin but it was too easy to find.  We also had fun putting our swimming pool up and it’s big and we were all jumping into it and we were freezing.
we have been doing lots of things since lockdown, mummy has made us do some school work everyday, I don’t like doing maths 🙁.
I also made my bug hotel, I’ve posted pictures and I now have lots pet snails living in it, I check it every day and I had 7 snails in it too.
we have also been busy colouring rainbows for mummy for work,  we have been going for walks and cycling our bikes along the road down to the water.  We have been spending a bit more time at daddy’s house so mummy can go to work and we still have to do work there too.
we have been trying home cooking too, I have made cupcakes, crispie cakes and shortbread.
im missing all my friends and teachers too, I miss coming to school.

ok bye for now I’m away to play on our swings and trampoline.

Today I finished my maths sums for the week, then I did a spelling test.  The best part of today was measuring with my hand cut outs! It was a lot of fun and my sister could join in too which she loved!

I measured my dog Freddy who was 8 hands long, then I measured my sister who was 8 hands long too! She is the same length which I didn’t realise before!  I then measured my dinosaur, he was 3 hands high and 3 hands long.

Hello team Holywood how is everybody doing?

Today l read a bit about Vincent Van Gogh and painted one of his pictures which was The Starry Night 🌌.  l like his paintings 🖼 because you can see the strokes of the brush.

First  this week I let go my  butterflies. It took a long time for some of them to take off. One of the butterflies was very hairy on its back I did not expect that.

I made a zip wire in the kitchen I did not use string. I used nylon thread I didn’t think it would work but it did. It worked because the thread was strong and slippery. When we pulled it tight it went down much faster. I put  my teddy on the zip wire then I put down my playmobile. The playmobile went down quicker because they were lighter.

Yesterday I had an online appointment. It was kinda weird. I had to see the receptionist on the screen. I did not expect it. Then I had to go into the virtual waiting room. The screen said you will be collected soon. It sounded strange to me. I think this a good thing because after the virus there wont be a tonne of people waiting for a new appointment. I have to do it all again next week !!!!!!!

Single Line Portrait Drawing

For this activity all you need is a sheet of A4 paper, a mirror (if you are drawing yourself) and a pencil or pen.

 

 

 

 

 

To do this activity properly, you are not allowed to lift your pencil off the paper once you have started.  However, you are allowed to draw over the top of lines you have already drawn – it is quite tricky!   I drew myself in the mirror and I drew my husband.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I challenge all the staff and pupils to do this.  Top tip:  start down the middle of your face (I started with my eyebrow).
