Holywood Hullabaloo

Last Friday we went up the woods and played and maid dens. On a Friday we go up the woods and whittle. Witiling is when you use a knife to carve a peace of wood into something. I like to play man hunt up the woods some peaple go in big swamp area and play in it.

Hellooo everyone, it’s Hannah here to tell you about the Shakespeare dioramas that we have been making for around a week. We started by reading an adapted children’s version of a old Shakespeare play ,I got Romeo and Juliet,then we take the main scene and turn it into a diorama. I chose the scene where Romeo climbs the orchard wall and professes his love to Juliet and then Juliet does the same,it is a very dramatic and beautiful scene I’ll post a picture when it’s done.

At Holywood we have been making Rube Goldberg contraptions. Rube Goldberg made pointless inventions some of them had hamsters , burning wicks and tennis balls just to turn the page on a news paper. Me and my friend are making one that has a marble run ,domino run and a watering can just to fill a cup of water. We’re not allowed to use any source of fire.

On Friday we go up wood and play,  people whittle, some play games  and run around in the wood and climb trees  I whittled last week I  started a knife . It is paper knife .  Lots of other  people  were  making knives too. Mrs Madden is the Holywood  whittle master.

Hi its Olivia here and today i am going to tell you about woodland break.On a Friday we do something called  Woodland break!.Its were we go up  the woods for an hour on Friday  and make dens ,play games and more i have made a den with my friends we play in it all the time Its really fun. Some times I play hide and seek and it with m friends and we climb up trees. We sometimes cook on the fire but thats on week in the woods

Three weeks ago we started building two inch tall builds with groups the towers need to be stable another for somebody to stand on it without  the tower falling We are building them with miss dale and every  class is doing it.It is so much fun.We do it every week unless its raining.Every group has there own design but some people have the same sort of idea.The best part is that we get to be creative and think of our own ideas unless there dumb.But the teachers are always watching to make sure nobody gets hurt.All the classes are in there own groups.By Alexa

 

 

 

 

In class we have been doing useless contraptions for our topic and me and Alexa have one made out of dominos , marbles, toy car, pencil, and paper  . we are trying to make the pencil draw on the paper . 

We haven’t made ours work yet but we are going to try and make it work how it is suppost to .

We have a ramp for the car to go down so the car goes down faster with more force .

Hello again, I’m back to tell you more information about our school-Holywood. So today and yesterday we were picked out in groups of four to go make clay  star shaped Christmas baubles for the tree in the hall. They were extremely fun and easy. You could put a pattern or a drawing on your star. I decided to put a pattern on my star. So when everyone’s baubles are finished they will be spray painted and put on the tree and they should look great 🙂

Hi its Bruce here to tell you  about Rube gold burgs useless invention .me and Olivier are doing one of his inventions. its where we have to sharpen a pencil. we got a piece of string and attach it to the pencil. Then we got some duck tape and then we got tow meter sticks and duck taped them together. i had to go through to p4  /5 to go get  the electricity box . then we need to get two wires attach the wires to a battery then we get the other end of the wire and attach it to a switch . then get another two wires and attach it to a fan.

We have been doing useless contraptions mine is to get a toy car pushed in a parking spot and me and Olivia used three boxes, a toy car, dominos, marbles , LEGO and  cup and that’s all the things we used .
