Holywood Hullabaloo

Three weeks ago we started building two inch tall builds with groups the towers need to be stable another for somebody to stand on it without  the tower falling We are building them with miss dale and every  class is doing it.It is so much fun.We do it every week unless its raining.Every group has there own design but some people have the same sort of idea.The best part is that we get to be creative and think of our own ideas unless there dumb.But the teachers are always watching to make sure nobody gets hurt.All the classes are in there own groups.By Alexa

 

 

 

 

In class we have been doing useless contraptions for our topic and me and Alexa have one made out of dominos , marbles, toy car, pencil, and paper  . we are trying to make the pencil draw on the paper . 

We haven’t made ours work yet but we are going to try and make it work how it is suppost to .

We have a ramp for the car to go down so the car goes down faster with more force .

Hello again, I’m back to tell you more information about our school-Holywood. So today and yesterday we were picked out in groups of four to go make clay  star shaped Christmas baubles for the tree in the hall. They were extremely fun and easy. You could put a pattern or a drawing on your star. I decided to put a pattern on my star. So when everyone’s baubles are finished they will be spray painted and put on the tree and they should look great 🙂

Hi its Bruce here to tell you  about Rube gold burgs useless invention .me and Olivier are doing one of his inventions. its where we have to sharpen a pencil. we got a piece of string and attach it to the pencil. Then we got some duck tape and then we got tow meter sticks and duck taped them together. i had to go through to p4  /5 to go get  the electricity box . then we need to get two wires attach the wires to a battery then we get the other end of the wire and attach it to a switch . then get another two wires and attach it to a fan.

We have been doing useless contraptions mine is to get a toy car pushed in a parking spot and me and Olivia used three boxes, a toy car, dominos, marbles , LEGO and  cup and that’s all the things we used .

Hello its Esmae today I will be talking about big Thursday so lets start. First it was science, we were taught  how to light a light bulb, we used a light bulb, 2 wires and a battery we connected the wires with the battery and the light bulb it lighted up. Then it was computer science, they had tablets and boxes with Lego inside the box, we created the figures and used the tablet to control them, it was cool. Then it was art we created a cool Chameleon we used colour and pattern. Then it was the last group, it was PE we were put in groups there was alot of groups like tire jump,bow and arrow and more. Then it was home time.

Hi all, Caspian is back.

Today I have done some maths, spelling,  more work on Percy Fawcett, and had a call with P4-5. Last night I wrote a story while watching a film. I will write it down below. A few things to say first though. Usually my stories are made up of natural occurrences, this time I  wanted to go for a more… mystical approach. So, here is the story:

I ran through the dark night , the only illumination being the Moon in the night sky. As I ran with my animal friend, I noticed a glimmer near the Ghost’s Cave. I thought it was a trick of the light, but as I turned to investigate, the glimmer dulled. The Moon had gone in, and I decided to go closer. I touched the glimmering item, and the world shifted. Everything was black from then on. Although, I don’t think I’m on Earth anymore…

Hello everyone

Today I had a new teacher he is very nice I had fun and got helped by him . He is really good and helpful like my mummy and Mark.

He put a game on about math’s and said I would tell him the number .

And he would press the number for me. Caspian had him too.  I got 20/20 for my 10x table.

Today I did some maths,  a spelling game my mummy set up for me. I did 2 with her and I won 2 time’s  I also did some poetry about the weather and I  looked at some poetry too like sunshine,  snowflakes,  rain and wind.

The lovely sun and rain

Make a magical rainbow

You can see the love in the rainbow

It makes everyone happy,

And you can be happy too.

What have you all done today? Are you all ok? Are you having fun?  also 2000 + 2000 =4000 it’s easy for me because it’s like 2+2+4 but adding three 000 on 2 I’m going to show some of my maths I like to do sometimes 30000 +30000=60000 now I’m going to show some maths that are easy for the P1s to try. 10+10=20 20+20=40 3+6=9 4+6=10 20-3=17 2+3=5 33+3=36

Hi all, Caspian is back.

Today I did the usual, maths, spelling, literacy and  my work on Percy Fawcett. I also had a video call with my home teacher, Mr Laidlaw. We did half an hour of maths, decimal number bonds, and some division and multiplication with decimals. I have been told tomorrow I will be doing some literacy on the class book.

Hi everybody! It’s Cleo. Today I will be telling you a bit about RSPCA charity. RSPCA is a charity that helps animals that are hurt. RSPCA stands for “Royal Society for the Prevention  of Cruelty to Animals.” They started in 1824. They have saved 115,000 animals! You can donate from £10-£50 to help an animal. They save cats, dogs, horses and rabbits. Someone said “Top people and very caring!” while somebody else said “DO NOT USE THE RSPCA” but people have mixed emotions. By Cleo
